Anton's Family (and Teri)
Anton's grandmother and father
Teri is the daughter of Donna and Mike. Mike and Donna have been happily married for the past 40 years (this July!). They struggled in 2009 with Teri's decision to move to the Netherlands, but like Anton's parents, they were happy that their daughter had found someone who she loves with all her heart and who loves her as Anton does. When the decision was made to move to and live in the USA, Teri's parents were very excited. Mike is retired, and he and Donna enjoy activities such as babysitting their grandkids, gardening, and volunteering.
Their oldest child is Matthew, who is 36, and is a computer engineer in the government weapons field, which means he COULD tell us what he does, but then he'd have to kill us. So we are content to know that he enjoys what he does! He's been married to Kelly for nearly 9 years now and has 2 very sweet and cute children, Kaelyn - 6 years old, and Ryan - 1 years old.

Anton and I would like to take a moment to thank both of our parents for the love and support they've both offered during the past almost 2 years. You opened your homes and hearts to both of us in turn and you helped make a difficult situation with the immigration not only possible, but easy! Thank you all very very much! We couldn't have done it without you.
Our greatest gift from you would be your presence at our big day, helping us celebrate! Due to our living circumstances for the forseeable future (and lack of space thereof), we have chosen not to register anywhere. If you decide you still would like to give a gift besides your presence, monetary gifts, gift cards, and cards would be appreciated!

Here are some of the questions that we are anticipating that people will have. If your question isn't answered here, please feel free to note it in our guestbook or send us an email. No question is unimportant! For your convenience, we do have things like local hotels and restaurants listed in seperate pages linked by the menu.
Do I have to RSVP?
Yes! We are required by both the caterer and reception venue to provide a final head count. And of course we need to know how much food and drinks to provide!
Will there be heaps of food?
Yes! We are planning to have several types and styles of food, ranging from appetizer, to salad, to main course, to of course wedding cake/dessert served buffet style! Our menu currently is Tri-tip, BBQ Chicken, Pasta Bar, Mashed Potato Bar, salad, rolls, and wontons. The food is going to be sooooo yummy!!
Is there a dress code?
What you wear is pretty much up to you. We do ask that you wear something that will look nice in photographs. The entire wedding party (including bride and groom) will be dressed semi-formal to formal.
Aren't your events set up a bit odd?
We did choose to do things a bit abnormally. We know that we have family and friends coming from all over the world, some of whom it's been a very long time since we've seen them, some of them whom we've only 'met' online, and some of them we want to introduce to each other. We decided to have our reception the day after the wedding, because we wanted to have plenty of time and energy to devote to enjoying you, our guests, company.
Is photography allowed?
Photography is very much encouraged! BUT!! Please use discretion and respect our professional photographer. If he's setting up group shots, don't call for everyone to look over your way, and please don't use flash photography when he's taking pictures. For the reception, we'll be providing disposable cameras on each table for people to use to take pictures. We only ask that the disposable cameras are back on each table at the end of the night, and if you take pictures of us on your own camera, please send us a copy! I'll be setting up a website where anyone can add photos and we'd very much appreciate people using it.
Where are you registered?
We aren't. Please see the "Registry Info" section for more information.
How long is each event?
We aren't perfectly sure, but the ceremony should take no more than an hour.
What are your wedding colors?
The reception will start at 5pm and last until 9pm. Our 1st dance will be at 530pm, dinner will start at 6pm, and we'll have the cake cutting ceremony at 730pm.
Our colors are "dodger" blue, white and silver. Believe it or not Anton chose the blue and NOT Teri (although she very much liked and agreed with his choice)!!
How many people will be there?
We are very much not sure yet, but we are figuring on no more then 30 at the ceremony, and maybe 60-90 at the reception.
Is there an open bar?
We are not going to be having an open bar, though we will provide water and soft drinks.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
We are asking you to stick to the people we listed on the invitations we sent out. If you feel that you want to bring someone else, please use the contact page to email or call us to see if we can accomodate your request.
Have you set up a block of hotel rooms?
We are choosing not to make a block of hotel rooms, however if you go to the accomodations section on this page, then you can find a couple of the hotels close to the reception site.
